City of Irvine features Kindness Network

The City of Irvine has published a dedicated Kindness Network page at cityofirvine.gov/kindness, under the Office of Health & Wellness — in the same menu as Community Support Programs, Seeking Assistance, and Affordable Housing. The page opens with the Kindness Network launch film and points residents to meetkindness.org. In the City’s words, Kindness Network serves as a neutral local intermediary that mobilizes private-sector, philanthropic, and community resources to support mental-wellness organizations.

That link resolves to a platform we built. Kindness Network tasked Cyphia Solutions with building meetkindness.org from the ground up — not as a brochure site, but as the network’s operating platform: the place where partner institutions, community members, and the organization’s own team actually run the network together, with the busywork — program and event management, signups, email updates, newsletter communication — automated underneath them.

Three audiences, one platform:

  1. Partner institutions — nonprofits, community groups, and service providers apply online, run their own partner page, and publish programs and events themselves. Submissions flow through an approval workflow, edits happen in place on the live page, and partners are notified by email when people sign up.
  2. Community members — residents browse programs and events from the whole network in one place, RSVP with a click, add events to their calendar or Apple Wallet, and automatically receive email updates when something they signed up for changes.
  3. The organization — a small staff reviews and publishes partner submissions, tracks attendance with per-event rosters and CSV export, and reaches the whole community through an AI-assisted newsletter composer — so a lean team communicates like a large one.

Between those three, the platform does the work nobody should be doing by hand: signup confirmations, approval and change notifications, waitlists, per-page social share cards, subscribe-and-unsubscribe compliance. Every connection the network makes generates its own follow-through.

The network’s one-pager says it best — partners on one side, users on the other, the platform in the middle connecting, empowering, and amplifying. It’s a single page worth keeping:

Congratulations to the Kindness Network team — a city pointing its residents at your platform is exactly the kind of milestone this work is for. If your organization runs on scattered forms, spreadsheets, and inboxes and you’d like it to run on one platform instead — start a conversation.
